The Kawasaki ZX10R Ninja is
available in green or black. This model got a whole new make over for
2006/07. New and more aerodynamic bodywork, a series of engine
modifications that have not only unleashed more power but have given it a
more linear power delivery. The RAM air efficiency that the Kawasaki
ZX10R is already known for is further improved with the ram air intake
duct enlarged and twin catalysed cans to efficiently dispose of the
exhaust gases.
The Kawasaki ZX10R was already a class
leader with in excess of 1000 horsepower per tonne, for 2006 / 2007,
the engine has been moved further forward in the frame to give more
centralised mass and aid high speed stability.
As with the 2005 model, the new Kawasaki
ZX10R comes standard with a thatcham approved immobiliser. In addition
to this we will now see a factory fitted Ohlins adjustable steering
damper, and braking efficiency improved by the utilisation of a radial
master cylinder to compliment the already excellent radial calipers.
Trick bits? or simply sensible
engineering? The Kawasaki ZX10R has a speedo assembly that projects its
image thus giving the illusion that the digits are a long way away. The
reasoning behind this is to give the rider a faster re-focus time when
glancing from road to clocks and back again. It really works.
The world wide write ups of the Kawasaki
ZX10R have labelled it as an animal thanks to its blisteringly powerful
engine. DO NOT be misled, in town and around the country twisties it is
an absolute joy to ride, a pussycat in fact, with power delivery
entirely relative to throttle openings. Pinning the throttle to the stop
however does release the beast in this machine - The latest model
Kawasaki ZX10R with its new modifications is better still - it is
awesome!!
The Kawasaki ZX10R is a bike that in
standard trim fits right in on track and this is exactly what Kawasaki
had in mind, however the huge torque and midrange power that allows this
bike to pull 6th gear from 3000rpm gives you the ingredients for a
relaxed ride on the road.
Additional features on the Kawasaki ZX10R
are the slipper clutch that is fitted as standard which simply stops
rear end chatter at high rev down changes, and gives the most
predictable and consistent engine braking on downchanges regardless
where these are made within the rev range.
